Jeffrey Unerman is Professor of Accounting and Corporate Accountability in the School of Management at Royal Holloway, University of London, and from 2011 to 2016 was Head of School. Before joining Royal Holloway he was a professor at the University of Manchester.
He holds a PhD in social and environmental accounting from the University of Sheffield, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and an Honorary Fellow of CPA Australia. He was the recipient of the British Accounting and Finance Association’s 2016 Distinguished Academic Award and in 2018 was awarded a Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences.
Among external roles, Jeffrey is a co-opted member of the ICAEW Council and vice-chair of the ICAEW Research Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Expert Panel of the Prince of Wales’s Accounting for Sustainability Project.
