Aldo Ravazzi Douvan

Aldo Ravazzi Douvan is a senior adviser on green growth, sustainable development and environmental fiscal reform (EFR) at the Italian Ministry of Environment since 2000.
During the first part of his career, he has been Chief Economist at IRI, the largest European industrial-financial holding, and then privatised. He presently chairs the OECD Working Party for Environmental Performance Country Reviews, previously those on Taxation & Environment, and on Biodiversity, Water & Ecosystems. He is the Vice-President of Green Budget Europe, the network of experts from Governments, IGOs, NGOs, Business, University & Research promoting EFRs across Europe and beyond, and the removal of environmentally harmful subsidies. Furthermore he is the Vice-President of the Plan Bleu for environment & development in Mediterranean (Unep-Map). He teaches Sustainable Development at the University of Roma Luiss and is one of the major promoters of the 2012 and 2014 attempts of EFR in Italy.
