Alessandro is professor of Accounting at Verona University (Italy), where he is responsible for the courses of Financial Accounting and of Corporate Governance.

His recent research focuses are on integrated reporting, critical accounting, accounting history and corporate governance; in the past he published papers and books on financial statements, business combinations, networks and cooperative agreements. He published on international journals as Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Management and Governance, Accounting History. He is a member of the Insurance Committee of the Italian financial standard-setter (OIC – Organismo Italiano di Contabilità, Roma) since 2005.
